Experience

I have designed and presented lectures to engineers and biologists in a broad range of fields to a large range of levels and backgrounds, from bachelor to PhD students in biology and engineering science. My lectures have covered many subjects from fundamentals in ecology, population ecology, genetics and evolution to methods and tools in network analysis, spatial and dynamic modelling, and geographical information systems, including perspectives in ecosystem management, control of invasive species and conservation biology.

Lecturer:

2012-2013: Introduction to network analysis for biologists,

Department of Ecology and Evolution, University of Lausanne, Switzerland

14 hours, 16 (2012), 24 (2013) students, Master and Doctoral school.

2005-2008: Ecological Networks, Landscape Ecology and Biodiversity Management,

Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale Lausanne, Switzerland

20 hours, 70 students, Master, 3 semesters.

2000-2004: Short lectures (min 2 hours):"Geographical Information Systems and biodiversity" and

“Metapopulation in fragmented landscape” for advanced under-graduate students in landscape management. “Landscape Ecology” and “Geographical Information Systems” for advanced under-graduate students in landscape management.

Supervision:

2009-2014 Department of Ecology and Evolution, University of Lausanne 2 PhD students and 6 Master students

2004-2008 Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale Lausanne: 4 Master students.
